The Burchfield-Penney partnered with Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 1999 to present Herd About Buffalo, a popular public art exhibition that was enthusiastically embraced by local residents and visitors alike.

The Materials Reuse Project provides materials and supplies for arts and other programs to schools in Buffalo and Niagara Falls. The organization has forged partnerships with more than 150 businesses and 45 non-profit organizations to provide 77 poorly funded schools with much-needed supplies.

The Materials Reuse Project is providing materials and resources for participating Art on Wheels artists as well as offering a link for educational opportunities.

The Buffalo News believes that being a good newspaper also requires being a good citizen.  For that reason, the News uses its resources to make our region an even better place to live by supporting causes that enrich the lives of Western New Yorkers through education, civic involvement, diverse community life, and arts and cultural life.  Art On Wheels touches on all of those areas and we are proud to be a major partner in this great community event.
